The Tata Winger Platinum, available only in Delhi, provides its customers with a perfect blend of comfort and space. The new version of the Tata Winger is more sophisticated on the inside making this model much more luxurious. The large people carrier has only seven seats as compared to the 10-14 seats in the earlier versions, but each seat is a captain seat allowing each passenger to be an independent traveller. The seven-seater has reclining options, arm rests and legroom for even more comfort especially on long drives. For the driver, the seat has an adjustable lever to set the height of the seat according to the driver’s convenience. Under its hood, the car holds a 1948 cc diesel engine set to cruise through the streets. Added to this, an excellent suspension and steering also add for a great drive.
Car Models
Tata offers only diesel models of the Winger. There are two variants of the Tata Winger.
Tata Winger Platinum BS-III – Powered by a 1948cc diesel engine, the BS-III produces 90 bhp of power with a maximum torque of 190Nm. The turbocharged engine is ideal for cruise speeds of 80-100 kmph. With a suspension that’s been tweaked, a 5-speed manual transmission coupled with power steering, the new Winger Platinum BS-III will ensure a smooth drive. The car pulls up a mileage of 10.67 kmpl. It comes in two colors of Pearl White and Cycus Gray.
Tata Winger Platinum BS-IV – The Winger Platinum BS-IV is powered by the same 1948 cc engine but churns out a mileage of 10.71 kmpl. The spacious seven-seater drives smooth with a 5-speed manual transmission, power steering and a tuned-up suspension. The car can top a maximum torque of 190 Nm and power of 91 bhp.

The Tata Winger is currently available only in Delhi. The ex-showroom price of the Platinum BS-III is Rs. 7,20,264 but will cost about Rs. 8,21,625 on the road. The on-road price is inclusive of the RTO charges and the car insurance premium charged by the insurer. The on -road price for the Platinum BS-IV is about Rs. 8,62,212.
