{"id":4322,"date":"2018-05-23T03:18:22","date_gmt":"2018-05-22T21:48:22","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.antworksmoney.com\/blog\/?page_id=4322"},"modified":"2019-10-09T18:04:18","modified_gmt":"2019-10-09T12:34:18","slug":"how-to-check-your-ppf-claim-status-online","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.antworksmoney.com\/blog\/how-to-check-your-ppf-claim-status-online\/","title":{"rendered":"How to check your PPF claim status online"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.antworksmoney.com\/blog\/ppf-public-provident-fund\/\">Public Provident Fund(PPF)<\/a> scheme offers excellent benefits \u2013 it\u2019s a retirement scheme that promises incredible investment growth and also works as a tax saving instrument.<\/p>\n<p>In order to check your\u00a0<b>PPF claim status online<\/b>, you must:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Intimate the bank to integrate your\u00a0PPF\u00a0account with the net banking system of that bank.<\/li>\n<li>Log into your account and begin the claim process.<\/li>\n<li>It must be kept in mind that the claim status can only be checked on only once you\u2019ve logged into your account and started the claim process.<\/li>\n<li>Some banks only accept deposits online, in this case, the\u00a0<i>PPF withdrawal claim<\/i>can only be checked online.<\/li>\n<li>If the PPF account has been created in a post office, the claim status can be checked by a simple process of inquiring from the same post office.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>It must be noted that withdrawal from the PPF account is subject to certain rules, which are:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Partial withdrawals can be made, from the start of the 7th financial year after the account has been created.<\/li>\n<li>Only one partial withdrawal will be allowed every financial year (starting from the 7th financial year onwards).<\/li>\n<li>The amount that can be withdrawn is equal to the lower of:\n<ul>\n<li>50% of the account balance as at the end of the year immediately preceding the current year, or,<\/li>\n<li>50% of the account balance as at the end of the 4th year, immediately preceding the current year.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>The full amount in your PPF account can only be withdrawn on maturity.<\/li>\n<li>The PPF account attains maturity in 15 years from the date on which it was created.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>For example, Mr. A opens a PPF account in January, 2010.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Year 1: April 2009 \u2013 March 2010 (Account opened within this timeframe \u2013 in January 2010).<\/li>\n<li>Year 2: April 2010 \u2013 March 2011.<\/li>\n<li>Year 3: April 2011 \u2013 March 2012\u00a0<em>(This is the 4th year immediately preceeding the year in which withdrawals are possible, assuming Mr. A opted for withdrawal option as soon as he legally could. Mr. A can withdraw an amount equal to 50% of this amount if it is lower than that of \u201cYear 6\u201d).<\/em><\/li>\n<li>Year 4: April 2012 \u2013 March 2013.<\/li>\n<li>Year 5: April 2013 \u2013 March 2014.<\/li>\n<li>Year 6: April 2014 \u2013 March 2015\u00a0<em>(This is the year immediately preceding the year in which withdrawals are possible, assuming Mr. A opted for the withdrawal option as soon as he legally could.
