In order to generate the UAN number, the employee has to firstly be registered with the EPFO and has to be making regular monthly contributions towards the scheme.<\/p>\n<h2>Steps to change mobile number on UAN Portal<\/h2>\n<p>For subscribers that wish to change their mobile number on the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.antworksmoney.com\/blog\/know-login-unified-uan-portal\/\">UAN portal<\/a>, they can follow the steps mentioned below:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Visit the UAN portal.<\/li>\n<li>Click on the \u201cmanage tool\u201d on the UAN portal homepage.<\/li>\n<li>Click on \u201ccontact details\u201d from the drop-down menu.<\/li>\n<li>Click on \u201cchange mobile number\u201d.<\/li>\n<li>Enter your new mobile number.<\/li>\n<li>Re-enter your new mobile number.<\/li>\n<li>Click on \u201cget authorization PIN\u201d.<\/li>\n<li>Enter the OTP sent to your new mobile number.<\/li>\n<li>Click on \u201csave changes\u201d to register your new mobile number.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Steps to Change EPF Mobile Number If forgot Password<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>If a subscriber has changed his\/her mobile number and has forgotten their password, they can follow the steps mentioned below to change the mobile number and their password.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Visit the UAN portal.<\/li>\n<li>Enter your UAN number and click on \u201cforgot password\u201d.<\/li>\n<li>Re-enter your UAN number and enter the captcha.<\/li>\n<li>Your existing mobile number will be displayed, if you wish to change it, click on \u201cno\u201d for the question if you want to confirm the mobile number.<\/li>\n<li>Click on \u201cverify\u201d document number on the page that displays your name, gender, date of birth, KYC details, etc.<\/li>\n<li>Enter the new mobile number.<\/li>\n<li>Click on the \u201cget authorization PIN\u201d tab.<\/li>\n<li>Once this is done, your new mobile number will be registered in the UAN database.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Other Ways to Change EPF Mobile Number<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>For\u00a0EPF\u00a0subscribers that have no access to the internet, they can opt for the offline mode to change their EPF registered mobile number. For this to happen, the subscriber will have to fill in a form with the mobile number change and submit it to one\u2019s employer. The employer will then forward the form to the regional PF office for approval. The verification and approval process will take around 15 working days. Once the mobile number has been changed, the subscriber will receive a notification message from the EPFO that his\/her mobile number has been changed.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Check UAN Status on EPFO Member Portal<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>If your UAN is yet to be generated, you can follow the steps mentioned below:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Visit the EPFO member portal.<\/li>\n<li>Next, enter your region code, PF office jurisdiction code, establishment code and your PF number. These details too will be displayed on your payslip.<\/li>\n<li>Click on \u201ccheck status\u201d button. If the site displays that your UAN is activated, then you can go ahead with any PF process, if not, you will need to first generate and then activate your UAN.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>How to Generate UAN on EPFO Member Portal<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Follow the steps to generate UAN:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Visit the EPFO website<\/li>\n<li>Click on \u201cour services\u201d<\/li>\n<li>Choose \u201cfor employees\u201d.<\/li>\n<li>Click on the \u201cregister or activate UAN\u201d link.<\/li>\n<li>Fill in your KYC details &#8211; name, mobile number, passport number, bank account number, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.antworksmoney.com\/blog\/aadhar-card\/\">Aadhaar card<\/a> number, etc.<\/li>\n<li>Upload a scanned copy of your signature and passport photograph.<\/li>\n<li>Once you click on \u201csubmit\u201d, an authorization PIN will be sent to your registered mobile number. Enter the PIN.<\/li>\n<li>Once the PIN has been entered, your UAN will be generated. To do so, they should follow the steps mentioned below:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Visit the EPFO member portal.<\/li>\n<li>Click on &#8220;Online Aadhaar Verified UAN Allotment&#8221;<\/li>\n<li>Enter your Aadhaar card number.<\/li>\n<li>Click on \u201cgenerate OTP\u201d.<\/li>\n<li>Enter the OTP received on your registered mobile number and click on \u201csubmit\u201d.<\/li>\n<li>The page will then display the Aadhaar card details.<\/li>\n<li>Click on \u201cregister\u201d.<\/li>\n<li>Once that is done, the UAN will be allotted.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Steps to transfer PF Balance using UAN<\/h2>\n<p>To initiate the process of transferring their\u00a0PF balance\u00a0using UAN, subscribers have to follow the steps mentioned below:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Submit the Composite Form 11 that includes vital details and along with that submit your personal details, PF number held with a previous employer, UAN, etc.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure that your UAN is generated and activated and that your Aadhaar card details are integrated to your UAN account.<\/li>\n<li>If your UAN is seeded with your Aadhaar card details, as soon as your current employer enters the details, the process of auto-transfer will be initiated.<\/li>\n<li>As soon as the auto-transfer process has been initiated, the subscriber will receive a message on his\/her registered mobile number.<\/li>\n<li>The process completed within 10 days and when the first PF contribution of the new employer has been made.<\/li>\n<li>The subscriber will receive a message as soon as the PF fund has been deposited.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Other ways to make Auto PF Transfer :<\/h2>\n<p>If the subscriber has not seeded his\/her Aadhaar card with the UAN online, they can carry out the process of auto-transfer offline. To do this, the employee needs to submit Form 13 to the new employer and furnish details of one\u2019s Aadhaar card. Once the Aadhaar card has been seeded to the UAN of the employee, he\/she can initiate the process of transferring funds from one\u2019s past PF account to the current PF account.<\/p>\n<h2>Merge Multiple PF Accounts using UAN<\/h2>\n<p>Now, instead of closing a PF account every time one shift jobs, subscribers to the EPFO can merge multiple PF accounts using their UAN and manage all accounts as one. For those who wish to merge multiple PF accounts using their UAN, they can follow the steps mentioned below.
