Individuals are required to meet certain eligibility criteria to enroll under CGHS. They are covered below.<\/p>\n<h2>Eligibility Criteria for Availing Central Government Health Scheme:<\/h2>\n<p>The following group of people are eligible to avail CGHS:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>All employees of the Central Government who draw their salary from central civil estimates<\/li>\n<li>The dependent family members of the Central Government employees who draw their salary from Central Civil Estimates and reside in areas covered under the\u00a0<strong>CGHS<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Pensioners and family pensioners of the Central Government, who receive pension from central civil estimates<\/li>\n<li>The eligible dependent family members of pensioners and family pensioners of the Central Government who receive pension from central civil estimates<\/li>\n<li>Members of parliament, both ex- and sitting<\/li>\n<li>Ex-vice presidents<\/li>\n<li>Retired judges of high courts<\/li>\n<li>Freedom fighters<\/li>\n<li>Retired as well as sitting judges of Supreme Court<\/li>\n<li>Journalists accredited with Press Information Bureau<\/li>\n<li>Employees of the Railway Board<\/li>\n<li>Delhi Police Personnel<\/li>\n<li>Pensioners and employees of certain statutory\/autonomous bodies that have been extended CGHS facilities in Delhi<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Facilities Offered by Central Government Health Scheme:<\/h2>\n<p>Here are the facilities you can avail by enrolling under CGHS:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>OPD treatment (inclusive of issue of medicines)<\/li>\n<li>Indoor treatment at empanelled and government hospitals<\/li>\n<li>Reimbursement of costs for treatment in private or government hospitals in case of emergencies<\/li>\n<li>Specialist consultation at government or polyclinic hospitals<\/li>\n<li>Investigations at empanelled and government hospitals<\/li>\n<li>Maternity, family welfare and child health services<\/li>\n<li>Reimbursement of costs incurred for buying appliances, artificial limbs, hearing aids, etc., as specified<\/li>\n<li>Cashless facility for treatment in diagnostic centres and empanelled hospitals for identified beneficiaries and pensioners<\/li>\n<li>Medical consultation as well as dispending of medicines in homeopathy, Siddha, Ayurveda and Unani systems of medicines<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Cities Covered under Central Government Health Scheme:<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Ahmedabad<\/li>\n<li>Allahabad<\/li>\n<li>Bengaluru<\/li>\n<li>Bhopal<\/li>\n<li>Bhubaneshwar<\/li>\n<li>Chandigarh<\/li>\n<li>Chennai<\/li>\n<li>Dehradun<\/li>\n<li>Delhi and NCR<\/li>\n<li>Guwahati<\/li>\n<li>Hyderabad<\/li>\n<li>Indore<\/li>\n<li>Jabalpur<\/li>\n<li>Jaipur<\/li>\n<li>Jammu<\/li>\n<li>Kanpur<\/li>\n<li>Kolkata<\/li>\n<li>Lucknow<\/li>\n<li>Meerut<\/li>\n<li>Mumbai<\/li>\n<li>Nagpur<\/li>\n<li>Patna<\/li>\n<li>Pune<\/li>\n<li>Ranchi<\/li>\n<li>Shimla<\/li>\n<li>Shillong<\/li>\n<li>Thiruvananthapuram<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Contribution Towards Central Government Health Scheme:<\/h2>\n<p>Wards in private hospitals empanelled under\u00a0<u>CGHS<\/u>\u00a0are made available based on the basic pay of the individual in the pay band. Here are the ward entitlements under CGHS:<\/p>\n<table class=\"table table-curved\">\n<tbody>\n<tr>\n<td><strong>Ward Entitlement<\/strong><\/td>\n<td><strong>Corresponding Monthly Basic Pay Drawn by the Officer in 7<\/strong><strong>th<\/strong><strong>\u00a0CPC<\/strong><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td>General Ward<\/td>\n<td>Up to Rs.47,600<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td>Semi-Private Ward<\/td>\n<td>Rs.47,601 to Rs.63,100<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td>Private Ward<\/td>\n<td>Rs.63,101 and above<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<h2>Revised Monthly Subscription for CGHS Facility:<\/h2>\n<table class=\"table table-curved\">\n<tbody>\n<tr>\n<td><strong>Corresponding Levels in Pay Matrix as per 7<\/strong><strong>th<\/strong><strong>\u00a0CPS<\/strong><\/td>\n<td><strong>Contribution per Month<\/strong><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td>Level 1-5<\/td>\n<td>Rs.250<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td>Level 6<\/td>\n<td>Rs.450<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td>Level 7-11<\/td>\n<td>Rs.650<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td>Level 12 and above<\/td>\n<td>Rs.1000<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<h2>Treatment of CGHS Beneficiaries in areas that do not cover CGHS:<\/h2>\n<p>Inpatient treatment or follow up treatment of CGHS\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.antworksmoney.com\/Health_Insurance\">health insurance\u00a0<\/a>beneficiaries\u00a0in the areas that do not cover CGHS is as follows:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>During times of emergencies, treatment of beneficiaries is allowed in any hospital, but the medical claim has to be submitted to the additional director of the city in which the individual\u2019s CGHS card is registered.<\/li>\n<li>During times of non-emergency, the beneficiary of CGHS will be allowed to avail treatment from local\/state\/central government hospitals. However, prior approval has to be obtained from the CMO I\/C of CGHS WC (in the city where the individual\u2019s\u2019 CGHS card is registered). The hospitals from which treatment can be availed must be approved and should fall in the list of CSMA\/Empanelled hospitals under ECHS.<\/li>\n<li>During times of follow up treatment in case of knee\/hip replacement, cardiac\/neuro surgery, renal transplant or cancer, the beneficiary of a CGHS is allowed to receive follow up treatment in the approved hospitals provided he\/she has received prior permission from the CMO I\/C.<\/li>\n<li>In case of reimbursement for medical expenses, the amounts that can be claimed will be limited to the rates according to CGHS, and the beneficiary can be treated in any hospital.
