This does not apply for SBI and Associate Banks.<\/li>\n<li>Online payment remains valid for one year from the first appointment date\u00a0and applications must be submitted within this time. If not, the payment will be considered forfeited, and a new payment will have to be made.<\/li>\n<li>At\u00a0Citizen Service Centres (CSCs),\u00a0payment can be made by credit\/debit card.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>Cash Payment:<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li>Payments can be made in cash at any of the Passport Seva Kendras (PSKs)<\/li>\n<li>For\u00a0Tatkal applications, the entire application amount of the\u00a0<strong>normal application fee\u00a0plus\u00a0Tatkal fee<\/strong>\u00a0can be paid in one go, unlike online payments for Tatkal applications.<\/li>\n<li>While dealing with cash at the PSK, the public is warned to beware of touts and agents.<\/li>\n<li>At\u00a0<strong>PSKs<\/strong>\u00a0(Passport Seva Kendras), payment for a passport will have to be made\u00a0<strong>In Cash<\/strong>\u00a0only. This applies to mini-PSKs too. All PSKs host ATMs for all banks so cash withdrawal to make payment is made easier.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>Demand Draft:<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li>At\u00a0<strong>District Passport Cells<\/strong>\u00a0(DPCs), payment will have to be made via DD (Demand Draft).<\/li>\n<li>The DD has to be made out to PAO-MEA to be satisfied at the RPO.<\/li>\n<li>At\u00a0<strong>Speed Post Centres<\/strong>\u00a0(SPCs),\u00a0payment can be made via DD (Demand Draft) or Cash. The DD must be drawn in favor of PAO-MEA and will be payable where the RPO is located.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>It should be noted that:<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ol>\n<li><strong>The following details must be written behind the DD:<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li>Applicants name.<\/li>\n<li>Applicants date of birth.<\/li>\n<li>Date of submission of the application.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>Collection Centers only entertain applications for fresh passports.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>All penalties must only be paid in cash<\/strong><strong>.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The cost of a passport depends on the type of passport service applied for and whether it is on a\u00a0regular basis or Tatkal.
